Mariah is a very funny, affectionate, intelligent, creative, and resilient young lady. She responds well to reward systems. She really loves wearing, borrowing, and making costume jewelry. She also enjoys singing and art. Mariah likes macaroni and cheese, French fries, and chips. She is not too keen on being introduced to new foods, which can be a trigger for her. Some of the other activities that Mariah enjoys include playing computer and video games and watching Sponge Bob and the Fox and the Hound.

Mariah’s communication skills are limited; however, she does work with her treatment team and receives speech therapy to strengthen those skills. This has helped Mariah gain the ability to say some words and repeat words that she hears. Mariah has also been able to work with her treatment team to learn how to carry numbers when completing addition.

Mariah is seeking a family that has experience working with or parenting children with unique challenges and special needs. In addition, a family that has a strong support system would be best for Mariah. Mariah is open to a single or two-parent household but prefers to be the only child in the home. Mariah also has siblings and would benefit from maintaining a connection with them.
